Funny - now there is media talk that the tariffs commitment is actually just a gambit for a better deal with Canada and Mexico. Trump is trying to negotiate the way he did with contractors who worked on his developments. However he doesn't seem to realise that foreign governments are immune to these kinds of stunts, unless you threaten to invade with your army. There is no way a politician in a democratic country will allow themselves to be bullied. They will stand firm, as they have no political option. Also Trump can't afford to tear up NAFTA - that will cost US business and consumers a fortune, and potentially leave a failed state on the Southern border.
BSL is interesting, as the market thought they were going to Disneyland, but now all they might be getting is to watch boring bugs bunny re-runs with Grand-Dad Trump.
