Index rebalance.
Hfr being kicked out of the asx300 has seen all index funds that held the stock and or those funds that have a manadate to only hold stocks inside the asx300 exit on market.
Monday 19th is when the additions / removals from the index come into effect, hence the volume today to make settlement.
Some funds may have a circa 90 day window to effect changes as a grace period as to not be forced into having to deal into the firm rebalance dates / to try and manage a better outcome.
