Drug cheats in cycling and track/field have been banned for life, and even jailed.
Marion Jones comes to mind. Won gold in Sydney Olympics but subsequently jailed for drug cheating etc. Lance Armstrong? Yep banned for life.
Smith won't be jailed cause his crime wont be tested in the Courts. But he is unworthy of the Baggy Green and shown himself to be an immoral Captain and poor leader.
Sacking him will be a blessing for him. He will never grace the field again with integrity. Should resign all forms of cricket and go spend his money on masking tape and cool mints.
