No one is disputing the gold production during its life - I am referring to the volume of ore processed. Maxwells is pretty much worked out with the majority of the ore on the surface awaiting processing - nothing really exciting. The reef itself is flat and expensive to mine - scraping with very little gravity assistance.
The shallower mineralised structures at Morning Star were fairly flat laying but became sub vertical with depth. Dilution is a product of stoping width - not height (other than for a flat make like Maxwells) as it is a narrow vein mine and must be worked accordingly. It will never be a big producer and maximum returns will be achieved utilising conventional airleg techniques with an emphasis on dilution control.
