Another article from an aggrieved cyclist:

I get that cyclists get endangered, injured and killed by negligent drivers. Nobody in their right minds condones dangerous driving.

Who amongst us hasn’t come across cyclists 2 abreast, often in packs,  hogging entire lanes, including single lane roads?

My daily commute includes 10km through a beautiful national park popular with cyclists.

I wait patiently and pass appropriately ... cars in front of me and that I can see behind me do likewise ... I have never seen a car overtake a risky high speed pass approaching a blind corner or anything remotely dangerous.

But at least every second day I come up behind oblivious and/or righteous 2 abreast pairs and packs that make no effort whatsoever to accommodate trailing cars, for 1-2 kms at a time.

Imo, cyclists should be forced to display identifiable registration and motorists should have dash cams and more cyclists should be fined.
