Hi glendronach. I’m not so sure about “we are history” or “crap offer”. When they came in with their low 1st offer I was convinced that they would be gazumped by any number of predators including Hony and ENN who had and probably still have last say in the matter. Harbour have obviously been cuddling up to them and offered them a way to stay invested so as to hopefully placate them so they may not be contenders but there may be others. The phrase crap offer and others of the same meaning will be tested quite soon in my opinion. This is probably a once in a lifetime opportunity to buy a company of this standing and future promise and if it’s worth more than $6.50 I have no doubt we will soon find out. I believe in the market. It can be a little bit out in certain circumstances but if The Santos is worth more than what’s offered the market will tell us. Don’t throw in the towel just yet. DYOR
