An investigation overnight at the WA Mineral Titles Online (MTO) shows that someone with very deep pockets has pegged 2,500-plus square kilometres exploration applications around King River Copper's Mt Remarkable gold discovery.
Now who could that be?
The applicant name is FMG Resources, which I assume is the Fortescue Metals Group (FMG).
What does that say about the future prospects for the KRC gold exploration in this new gold province?
KRC believes it has pegged all the best stuff in the Whitewater Volcanics.
What an exciting accolade that FMG Resources has done this!
You can only imagine the implications down the track.
