The farmin was actually quite a significant one, albeit contingent on Apache agreeing to stage two of the Acacia exploration program. Plus, yes this is just speculation, Apache was looking at an overall farmin/JV/TO of BRUs Laurel play.

As you rightly point out, no clear indication that they were looking at HTDs, but... back then the play was virtually on just recognised as being a potential target in the Canning. As for Apache pulling out, they had huge issues in the U.S due to dept, massive fall in the POO and management refocusing on U.S only assets.
Don't you worry, I will go right on speculating, keeps me sane, kind of.
