Cu prices have sustained above $3 for a while now and AIS should have had a good quarter this time around with (hopefully) AISC well under control and cash received on time to make the most of the loan repayments (in part, ofcourse) to tap the debtor and infrom that they wish to pay back some of the $$$ back imo...
I am sure they are in no position to retire the debt completely, so if they are "restructuring" it now, it means they are paying off some of it imo...
after a huge debt restructure 2 years ago, I am sure this is not going to be one of thos exercise once again - the debtor is not going to give any more concessions imo...
another possibility is with the Cu price hardening and AIS getting in a better position by the day, they are converting their debt to equity - in a way it is good for the company to not have debt (or lesser debt if partly converted) but as a very long term shareholder I don't want that to happen NOW... I would rather have the cash to pay them back and bid them adieu than to have them come in and dilute the registry and muddy the waters... we have had a great run in the last 2 years from 4c==>16c and this is just the beginning imo... if we can pay off debt and with Cu price sustaining we can easily hit the $ mark next year...
in summary, I hope the company is PAYING OFF some of the debt rather they converting to AIS shares... but we can only wait and watch until Friday... fingers crossed![]()
