After reading the announcement more closely its clear I misunderstood the intent to the drilling program. The comments from MW indicate that the primary objective of the program was to match the geology to the 3D model created by the seismic survey. According to MW this has been a success with him saying "all three deep diamond holes drilled to date intersecting the key structures and fault systems where we expected them to be." Looks like Red management can now confidently develop drilling programs based on the 3D model.
Meanwhile the POG has been holding up well at well over $1700 per oz for some time now. Will add a significant amount to the cash flow to help the bottom line if it stays at this level.
