All a bit academic really although I'm sure we'll have an answer sometime this year. If we get 300-400g/t in the scaled up pilot plant that'll produce lots of money which is all that matters at this stage.
It will happen when they can sort out an assay method that can accurately and precisely determine the true grade for a ore parcel before it is is put through the extraction process, then they can calculate the recovery for that particular extraction method.
If the slag carries grade we can reprocess that further down the track when there's enough tonnes to make it worth fussing about. I'm sure the slag will carry significant precious metals, esp. PGMs, because the extraction method should be aiming for maximum gold extraction since that's the most valuable metal for any given tonne of ore.
At this point our highest grade is 360g/t from a partial extraction of a bulk sample from Ema. The exciting thing is that 360g/t might only represent a recovery of 70, 80, 90%. I think it will turn out to be 80-95% recovery because it's the highest grade so far but who knows.![]()
