I wonder if the Titomic process could have potential use for yacht masts?
Marine products (except hulls) are covered in their CSIRO licence.

Masts are currently built with either aluminium or carbon - similar to bikes
The cost v performance currently favours aluminium for 'budget' and carbon for performance.
Carbon masts tend to be hand laid-up whilst aluminium sections are extruded.
Titanium should have performance advantage over aluminium in regards to weight, stiffness and corrosion.
One issue could be needing to build to a length greater then 9 metres.
If masts can be viable, potentially look at flag poles , particularly tapered ones v cost of aluminium.

Any old salts out there care to comment?
