Now Mitch I think some of your commercial "value" wines are on the money.
I have been drinking the Chapel Hill Parson myself and it is indeed a tasty drop at the price. Made by very well respected wine maker Michael Fragos who has been making excellent wines in the Vale for many years now
I also enjoy the Metala White Label from Langhorne Creek. A very underrated region that consistently produces quality grapes. The classic Shiraz/Cab blend gives it good weight and flavour and it's infinitely drinkable with some nicely charred barbie meats.
Taylors and Knappstein do some nice things up in Clare although reds are not my preference from the region. For me Clare is all about the excellent Riesling and there are a myriad of examples that can be picked up sub $20.
I also like your venture into the Italian varietals although I have not tried the specific labels you have posted.
