Ultimately this product is to give piece of mind and monitor treatment to people with asthma, particularly parents with children who have asthma. I know as a parent of two children who both have asthma the stress of seeing a child suffering asthma while we await the arrival of paramedics. Seeing a two year old struggle to breath is no fun. Looking back on these experiences I realise that this made me reluctant to have friends or family babysit our kids or have them for sleep overs. Basically because "no one knows my kids like I know them". I know that if I could send my kids away for the night with a device that could scientifically measure their condition and give a quantitive description via phone of how they were going, I would defiantly be more content to let them be babysat. At the product price point quoted recently I would happily buy the equipment for the piece of mind that the carer/grandparent could monitor the child, rather than just having to guess how they were going and when to give medication. The concept of the product is a no brainer.
