“Those contracts last for three to five years, which has an implication that the chemistry for EVs [electric vehicles] is fairly well set and established up until 2025,” he said.
“So the huge investment that is required to build battery plants and set in place lithium mines, graphite mines, cobalt mines to produce that chemistry is here to stay for the foreseeable future.”

Would seem logical that the rising prices of graphite, Lithium and Cobalt is an indication that these are the materials that battery manufacturers are locking in as they are what their batteries are going to be using in the foreseeable future.
Perhaps after 2025 some of the newer technologies will be tested and qualified, Lithium titanate may be a bolter though as it's probably a bit further down the development/improvement phase?
What are people's thoughts on likely technologies that may replace current Lithium, Graphite and Cobalt batteries say around 2025, based on the article and materials being locked in doesn't seem like much will be happening before then.
