THink that 3-5 estimate is based on the more linear trajectory of “novel” medicines to market but I reakon this is exponential as it’s an entire shift to the market which hasn’t happened for years and is gonna absolutely bust a$$ as soon as the govt green lights it. Even if your Dr is right that’s not so bad for long termers but awful for people like you who need help now. The pressure is building on the government to do something, the world is changing and they don’t want to miss the $$train
