As I've been quiet here and still hold a reasonable amount in (AC8) I have some extreme concerns about the Chilean crop
As I love to do my research I will address my concerns,
There has been a massive water shortage in Chile. I have been on the phone for the last week speaking to various avocado growers and they have informed me that there has been quite a substantial amount of crop loss not only in avocados but also illegal marijuana grows and non government approved grows. this is due to water having to be trucked in from other areas and also strict access to water. I have been told that even some farms do not have running water in their houses due to the water shortage .
I've also been told that Chilean Mafia have been involved in water supplies and are profiting from this.
As a government approved Plantation crop this might go against (AC8) because of the government getting involved on where water is to be allocated.
I can tell you what as a previous grower myself marijuana in its grow stage uses a huge amount of water,
and if avocado trees which have been established a lot longer than a 4 month old water thirsty weed are dying and not producing yield you make your own mind up.
As I have spoken to a number of produce growers across the state of Chile they have informed me that it is one of the worst drought and water supplies they have ever had.
I must point out as I do not know and it is obviously kept a secret the exact location of (AC8) Joint Venture grow.
In my opinion and what I have been told the drought is an overall country problem.
I believe (AC8) knows this due to their non announcements to the (ASX) yes there were photos and announcement of infant marijuana plants but one would think due to previous announcements that there would be photos of the plantation in all it's glory prior to flowering.
I am also a bit concerned with the strange behaviour on (AC8) social media such as Facebook, have a look more at the wording than the pictures, no mention of dates. It looks like last year's crop. Why would you post on social media prior to an (ASX) announcement? Make your own mind up.
To me it seems to be let's try and hold out as long as possible until delivering the bad news.
(god I hope I'm wrong)
