Sure profits are in decline but they key word there is ‘profit’ ???
Non cash write downs reducing ‘profit’ figurs doesn’t mean they are “not making money” as you put it .... I would welcome you to find a qualified accountant that will sign off on a financial report with a NPAT in the millions of dollars for a company and at the same time declare “they are not making money” ?.
...... and another thing I have said recently is someone is buying all the millions of shares being traded - millions of dollars is not mum and dad investors or ‘unsophistacated’ Investors as some may like to phrase it !
