If most steel imports are getting a 25% slug the prices of steel in the US should skyrocket especially if there isn't enough to go around. (You can't just start up capacity very quickly). That should mean massive revenue lift for Bluescope's US businesses. The risk is if the countries that cop the tariff target BSL Australian businesses more than than they do already. The current method of proving dumping into Australia takes months to years to go through so in the short term there is little protection. If Monday isn't spectacular for BlueScope I might stop going going to church.
