I agree with most of what is said above ...... that the direct impact on Australian Iron Ore exports to China should be minimal because China's steel exports to the US aren't that significant in the bigger scheme of things. The direct impact of Trump's broader tariff agenda on countries including Canada and Brazil will be significant.
US isolationism will however lead to a sequence of extreme economic shock waves and the Australian economy will be at one of several epicenters.
