Hi cc
Couldn’t agree more.
Last weekend I started a couple of threads discussing exactly that.
A mixed response, seemingly dominated by members of the view that engineers and technologists wouldn’t know a thing about entrepreneurship, innovation, business strategy and business development ... that role was to be played by smart things from outside the industry ... overall a condescending response from that group when reading back through the thread.
I’m sufficiently credentialed to discuss the subject matter I post. If I was to get too specific, I could probably be identified as I am not unknown within the infrastructure construction industry in NSW, Sydney in particular.
Imo, EDE would benefit from 1-2 executive level, entrepreneurial, connected construction industry engineers and technologists.
Wrt to business strategy, it could probably be tweaked in America with a couple of the above staff on the team and Sydney could simultaneously be an Australian beach head.
