I think that this is being over thinked. I don't think that the 6-7-8 year old kids buying these chocolates care where the animals are from. They may recognise where they are from but they won't care to look into how endangered they are or where they reside. All they care about is the chocolate and the toy inside. They might read the message that comes with it but they will throw it away the same day.
I do think that the mini videos will appeal to them though. Keep in mind that the kids buying these chocolates are only young so their go-to way of learning is watching a video online or whatever, not doing online research into the endangered animals.
Thats just my opinion though.
