"it's absolutely ridiculous to suggest that posting a 'strong buy' TA recommendation, is counter productive and attracts poor-quality investors"

You may disagree, but if you think it's 'absolutely ridiculous', you might want to compare the sp then and now. What kind of 'investor' do you think acts on this kind of 'information'? I will tell you - short-term traders (aka speculators) who know nothing and care less about what they are trading in, and usually run tight stop-losses under their positions. They are then tripped out with the greatest of ease by the likes of bruutz and pals, and in the process unnerve wobbly investors who can't cope with a bit of volatility.

I don't want to get into a general argument abut TA. Suffice it say that these mechanical TA sites have a fabulously poor record of predicting Nuheara's sp movements, and that the only traders who would even consider acting on their advice must be soaking wet behind the ears. You might as well post as 'information' the opinions of astrologers and tea-leaf readers.

As to information more generally, there is a vast difference between useful research and reasoned analysis (of which we get plenty on HC) and ludicrously hyped-up spin based on positive but not very startling anns (of which we also get plenty). The problem with the latter is not just that it pulls in naive speculators we don't need and are worse than useless, but that it is very off-putting to the kind of serious investors we do need rather badly. Anything which makes Nuheara look like a honeypot for over-excited spivs sadly misrepresents the company and its management, and in all but the shortest term, gets the sp nowhere at all. Imho it just moves the day we get a half-decent valuation further into the future.
