ROEROC, I'm asking a simple question about a single business division. I don't think this requires the lecture you gave. :)
The truth on CCP is I was on the phone with my broker putting in the order at $1.05 AUD that would have executed, and I got called away while in the middle of the order and simply forgot to come back. Our stupid brokers in the US refuse to take any order for the ASX unless our limit is within 5% of the current trading price. The stock never was at 5% of the price I was willing to pay after $1.05. Had I been allowed to put in my own limit without this stupid rule I would have owned it long ago.
I take your point that CCP has gone from strength to strength and has not allowed anyone waiting for any kind of weakness to get in. It really does bother me that I saw the opportunity early and it got away, but that happens.
None of this matters relative to my current question. I am asking what do *others* make of the UK business weakness. That by definition means I am interested in more than my own opinion.
