There was a huge thrust at the battery conference for Australian companies to become more involved in downstream activities - as we are simply missing out on too much money being only miners. I can't recall Tim or Peter mentioning this specifically with regard to BSM.
The conversion of the 471,241,644 options that expire dec 18 should yield AU$11.7M (by my calculations, the Baillieu host report says AU$18M), with the expansion to 20Kt/pa predicted to cost $AU 10-15M (Baillieu report) and to take a year to build - predicted to be ready and producing end of 2019. I think Tim may have mentioned a tighter timeline.
So maybe we may need to mine at stage 2, 20Kt/pa for a little while to obtain more funds to investigate a phase 3.
