Haha indeed, remarkable hat only too recently they were threatening each-other with nuclear war, with trump seeming all too happy to wipe North Korea off the map. Why would one assume that this latest stance will hold. One wrong move and they are back at it again for another 20 years. Although don't get me wrong, this would be a massive accomplishment if they can convince North Korea to denuclearize.

Indeed, Chamberlain and Hitler is a good reminder.

I cant remember whom said it, but on whether North Korea would keep their word, they said something like the can't afford to just trust anymore, they will need to verify, verify, verify, and verify again.
I don't know about that, he seems way too willing for my tastes, quite regularly touting the immense nuclear arsenal at the US' disposal, and his derie to upgrade the arsenal as opposed to dismantling it. In total nuclear war we all lose everything. 100% life loss. He does not have more life to lose, perhaps one could argue the youngest would have the most to lose. Also, correct me if I am wrong, but there are bunkers for US government officials designed to survive a nuclear attack. So again, he and his family probably have the best odds of survival should the worst come to fruition.

I don't think he would assume it would escalate anyhow. He would not need to fire every single Nuke, just attack the wrong place at the wrong time + rhetoric = escalation.
