Toll operator Transurban Group (ASX:TCL) has announced the appointment of Mark Birrell as a Non-Executive director.
Mr Birrell is currently Chair of Post Super, Regis Healthcare and the Australian Payments Council.
The company says Mr Birrell brings a wealth of experience from across the infrastructure sector which will complement the boards existing capabilities.
Transurban had a strong first half reporting a rise in net profits to $331 million dollars.
The company has also recently expanded operations to Canada where it acquired a 7 and a half kilometre toll road.
Shares in Transurban (ASX:TCL) are trading 0.7 per cent higher to $11.31
