Just been looking through some shorts analysis on tls. Wow I never thought from this angle. But if the short is initiated because the stock is ex growth and the market prices the stock on its current and historic stable dividend And if the future dividend declines. It's a guaranteed return to the shorter. Because if the future dividend rebase is lower, prices will not recover to previous highs. The price will settle around the suitable yld at the new sustainable dividend payment
