There are lots of hospitals still rolling out EMR as their backbone Electronic Record System, to which other clinical applications will talk to. As far as I understand that Monash Health has signed the EMR contract with Cerner April last year, and NSW is still in the process of rolling out the Cerner Millennium EMR. One of the benefits of having a standardized Electronic Medical Record, is it makes the Alcidion deployment considerably easier as they have a central source of truth and their applications can therefore communicate with the backbone EMR platform. But from a timing perspective, I believe it is best to wait until the Cerner deployment or other EMR system are finalized and then Alcidion can have much better chance to introduce Miya platform into their hospitals, I am sure you will agree with me that Alcidion will win more contracts with Monash Health when their Cerner EMR roll out is finished. Not sure If you have read MidCentral DHB meeting minutes before, but they have clearly said that they have to finish installing Patient Administration System first before they can start implementing Miya Patient Flow/HOC project.
When they have not won a contract yet, it does not mean Alcidion's product is not good enough and more likely hospitals aren't ready yet.
