But this is different IMO. Using saliva, scratching, "massaging" against the zipper, etc probably can considered with a shake of the head?
But attaching something foreign to the ball? That is crossing the line IMO.
And the reason - "we were desperate to win" sums it up.
That, I think, is an indictment on the Captain and the management group within the team. Basically, Smith said it was a group decision but he took responsibility as the Captain.
That I think is what is so frightening. You have the best of the best in the team making a decision that my six year old dog would balk at!!!!!!
Sadly Cricket Australia has to at least think about getting rid of that group - they have no place in our team and have tarnished the cricketing achievements of our great country, IMO!
