Ball tampering (or cheating as) has been accepted at the highest level for a long time with very little consequences to the perpetrators in the past.
Now the media are calling for blood.
IMO much of the blame should fall on the shoulders of the ICC and every countries cricket administration for allowing this to get out of control.
Unfortunately i don't know of too many sports where cheating does not occur.
There should not be any betting in sport.
