A lack of integrity and a really cynical attitude. That's what's on display from many Aussie cricket supporters.
Smith says that his integrity is now in question. Yes, lying to the on-field umpires is part of that Steve.
The whole story they've cooked up is beyond belief. Granules from the side of the pitch? First and last time? Lehmann had no idea? Why should we believe a single word Smith says.
The whole 'other people have done it' defence (non-defence) is morally bankrupt. This Aussie team was going to great lengths to tell us that they don't cross the line. Now they've been exposed crossing it in a totally cynical way and some just blithely dismiss it as of no consequence.
This is a story of hypocrisy and cynicism, and karma.
Why is it that people without integrity always seem to come a cropper? They may fly high for a while but karma seems to catch up with them. Happens in corporate life too.
