I am not a fan of Vaughan I am afraid, M2 has been in the mergers and acquisitions business for a long time, in the process trashing some good brands to get where they are today IMHO, Eftel, Clubtel, Commander etc. This has been a result of poor integration from what I can tell, and the resulting churn has eroded the goodwill/value of the acquisition in the first place.
A good example is to be found on whirlpool, where Clubtelco customers are leaving because they cannot get a voice service after moving to NBN from their provider (who has voice services under different brands). Or Amnet customers are being moved to another brand without equivalent plans ie https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2687618&p=1. Then we have brands just telling new customers they are closing like Engin https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2694489
M2 came from a rebill/ISP play, and the resulting culture when place in an infrastructure/carrier environment has proven not to be a good fit. During the time the M2 influence was in place there was lots of talk, little action. Now we have little talk, and lots of action in the back ground, the results should follow.
