Big money shouts, so we can expect no assistance from the media, advertising agencies or large law firms.
This is a true-life story about greed and fairness. On one hand we have a multi-multi-millionaire who takes his neighbours to court over a flower bed, supported by a docile board of directors dreaming of a final pay-off, luxury yachts and a life in the sun. On the other side are ordinary retirees, many of whom are struggling to survive on inadequate pension provisions. Yet this story is not worthy of being reported in the free press!
This Hot Copper forum has been our only window to the world. Also, the AGO experience will not be unique; how widespread are these behaviours and how much confidence can any of us have that all our investments are being fairly managed for the benefit of small shareholders?
