The trouble with Tesla is that it has gotten this far with over $5 billion in Government handouts and subsidies.......and counting.
Once the Euro and Asian cars come online from companies with a bottom line Tesla will just be another unsustainable industry as per the gasoline powered car industry in the USA.
It will either be a burden on the American taxpayer or perish. Probably the former, then eventually the latter.
Musk is a charismatic egomaniac, EV cars were coming anyhow.
He may have slightly sped up the process but the other companies have been doing the same as he has been doing to get there, just with less "free money" and fanfare.
If anything he has done more damage than good by rushing "crap" onto the market !!
Pity the Australian Government puppets and starstruck "fanboys" cannot foster a fledgling industry (VRB) which has its home at their own front door (UNSW) and actually do some good for a change !!
