    Yes I think Tesla is more based on hype than research. It has shades of the dot com bubble of 20 years ago.

    I'm just back from Japan, and was surprised by the lack of Hybrids on the Japan roads (seems they have exported every single used one to NZ for use by Uber drivers and taxis). The big sector seems to be the less than 600 cc vehicles which fall below the restrictions for off street parking / tax / legislated obsolescence.
