This thread only serves to confuse the discussion about the main use of vanadium going forward. Vanadium will be initially used as base load grid storage to replace coal.
I've been a sceptic of mining companies promoting IP for a long time now... its almost as foolish as BHP flogging diversity & inclusion hiring practices as a way to increase productivity... only to find out that diversity & inclusion = hiring retards to do work that requires intelligence = socialisim = equality of outcome = the economy and politics of Somalia.
This entire thread is a bit of a side show from the real use of vanadium in a flow battery. Unless there is some way to integrate Vanadium directly into a pure EV battery, then this thread isn't all that relevant to AVL.
With current technology, vanadium is going to be used as grid storage and not mobile storage. Big difference:
1) vanadium battery = stationary
2) lithium battery = mobile
Again, this thread, while interesting, isn't very relevant to AVL with present technology. More than anything, this thread only serves to confuse the discussion about the main use of vanadium going forward as base load grid storage.
