my 2 cents on DLA Piper. They are mega huge. I recall the Australian govt hired them very recently (few years back) to investigate either the Catholic Church or the Australian Defense Force scandals. So either BIG is in big trouble and needs them to sort out the mess... or they are aiming for big things and need them to provide heft to discussions (coz I dealt with the firm while they were representing SunTrust bank in the US).

PS - their office in Washington DC is a work of art. some serious architects worked on designing it!
