MOA more or less are similar, it is the spectrum of bacteria it covers that matter.
e.g. aerobes vs anaerobes, gram +ve vs gram -ve or other stain.
Oral antibiotic has long been used for BV, e.g. Metronidazole the more common one.
Topical treatment are always superior as it targets the affected area with less systemic effect.
If the market only discovered oral tab recently and caused the plunge in the share price, it is much welcomed.
