However, that time was a time of euphoria when (like lithium now) people believed the was going to be a such a shortage of REE's that supply would/could never respond. We had gold miners floating REE resources that patently couldn't be recovered since acid from the hot acid leach couldn't get into the un-weathered mineral. (We also had the tip with the U price collapsing from stratospheric levels).

The madness of crowds in that instance - greed.
