but, we need energy - it's that simple.

the sooner we get to work on something that is truly a good, solid, reliable, cheap, clean, sustainable source of energy the better --- oh, and NON weather dependent as well

I find it difficult to believe just how many dollars have been spent on crap that is really against the philosophy and/or pragmatism of what people really want.

All we seem to do is continually argue between solar power and coal - or nuclear - or similar

who the hell is actually spending money and time on researching and finding something that will tick ALL the boxes?

It's horses for courses... we all know what works and is reliable and cheap in today's world. That simply involves commonsense... a very limited commodity.

But religion makes people want to suffer to save their souls. So we have expensive unreliable energy production destroying the planet in many different ways, just not as obvious, much easy to gloss over.
