Yes force-majeure declared on supply contracts (ouch!) It will be interesting to see how the PNG gas plant insurance premium is impacted. Maybe being an oil major they are self-insured?
The world seems to be entering a period of uptick in seismic and volcanic activity.
WPL operations all in geologically stable regions I think. If you were a customer of PNG gas then the price will be a bit cheaper if you renew the contract next time I reckon - how can the supplier guarantee that there will be no impact to supply from seismic activity in the future?
