I’ve spent the past two months researching in reverse. Whenever there’s a runner or a big mover, I’ll back track and try and understand the clues to how I could have found it.
Technically - MACD crossing? - high volume?
Forums - whispers, smoke
STT tipping?
Announcements, pending events, directors buying, hot sector, media reports?
What were the clues?
I remember my first job. We had this thing called a safe on the first floor. Weighed about two tonnes ... no idea how it got up there ... maybe they built the building around it. It was used to keep company documents and this ancient thing called cash. To open the safe required a combination. Four turns to the right until you get to 46. You’d have your ear glued to the safe listening, and when it slowly changed from 45 to 46 you would hear a “click”. Then it was three turns to the left until you reached 27 ... “click”. And so it continued until you completed the combination. Then one full turn to the right and voila the safe would open.
Learning how to be successful in the share market is like learning to open a safe ... which has 20 numbers in it’s combination. I’ve found the first number, now I’m looking for the second number. Or have I found the twentieth number and now I’m looking for the nineteenth number?
