    With day trading, there are two important rules IMO.

    1) If you strongly believe the stock is going to go up, you buy quickly and pay whatever price the bidders are asking for.

    2) If there is any sign of weakness, you get out as quick as possible.

    You may make money or lose money but the important thing is to minimise your loss.

    So placing a bid at the support level is not going to work if the share price takes off. However, you'll be in if the share price does not take off IMO
