Yeah...think we're hitting it at bottom expectations. In general I'm looking at what I'd expect from any new enterprise to do in it's second year of operation (any operation that gets through it's second year that is). Our real milestone which I'm looking for is when we get the official word we're at breakeven...takes us out of the spec zone if you follow and puts us in to the earner/spender/expansion category.
Naturally profit will then go into broader advertising/infratructural growth/access to funds etc. (presuming we don't get an offer we can't refuse kind of thing...which would be a shame really...I mean nothing on the ASX has the spark this has that I've been able to find in terms of viable growth potential). Sure there are some with massive potential...but not with the level of derisk we have here IMO...particularly when you have a good grip of our history and the people behind it.
Anyway, on our calcs think we are basically looking at a no glee scenario. Only exception is naturally a GFC event and basically that might hit our SP but if retail demand stands up...pffft...well then you'll learn the importance of stop losses I guess.
Presuming no super correction...then we havn't factored in any of the likely good news events we might easily expect...that word Justin used..."overwhelming" in terms of Boosts release enquiries.
The new Generation of products in terms of hardware componentry alone ensures that any criticism levered at the original IQ buds (mainly the BT4 issue is history). New adopters won't have the angst. As for doftware upgrades...well all backwards compatible. As years pass more sophisticated hardware (say solid state batteries wher 1 charge keeps you going say 12 hours at a time. Consumer awareness growth of the whole technology vis cordless. So what the top end of expectatiins are...well we know that Airpods are doubling output as of December according to reports previously cited on the Board here and pound for pound we have far superior tech IMO. Our other major competitors BOSE and Japra in the Live and IQbud arenas are going to get hit hard in terms of our hardware upgrades...Sony...well...you've seen the Sony....they make the Airpods look good...poor Sony!
And then only serious player in Boosts space is Braghi...and I've expressed my views on their product...the Bragsters...all puff...little substance and think the big boys are likely aware. Chrikey if I could pick it...imagine the microscope the majors are going to throw over there products. They follow our ideas and then put out half cocked products howling how unique their features are...IMO...showmanship is there biggest strength to date and will also be their undoing long term. We deliver...we do the R&D and we have gathered the talent to ensure we stay ahead of the game..from research to marketing to integratiin and connection with the people that count whether it be for mentoring or marketing or networking...it's been a crazy few months. In other words "exponential" growth hasn't kicked yet.
My main focus for now is to determine whether we've hit hard support in the double digits. For me that's the que to start building my jellybean collection. Each new point in derisk counts. Break even/strength of registry/any j/v action etc etc.
I called a 4 bag at the 5s maybe 6s can't remember now...Ex called a 15.5 I reckon on the near term bounce...prior to that I called a 17.5 as strong support and U still reckon that's the mark before the next step up. That next step up will be off the back of the Lives I think but it could also be upon an ann of Gen2 IQbuds which I expect pretty soon probably after Boosts update. All guesses but hey not much news over Easter right? Anyway...that 4 bag could be a little low...on figures we're discussing....wouldn't surprise me if we doubled that just like the Airpods are managing. In which case a MC of 300 mill doesn't sound fanciful I reckon. 8 months isn't a long time...well say 11months due to 3 month reporting delay. Anyway just gives us greater CGT options.
Still havn't seen a spread on the sell lines yet...could be the churn/capping/soaking/consolidation whatever term you prefer...but like I said seems that the 10.5 is the new 6.1...at least I hope it is.
