It's good you have posted your initial review. These are real teething problems you are experiencing.
It takes a week or so of use to get the hang of the Buds and the app.
As some have mentioned, you REALLY need to do the firmware upgrade. It is a good point if this is not covered in the initial instructions, however Nuheara have set up a very informative resources page that covers everything I can think about.
I look forward to another review in a couple of weeks after you have become familiar with them.
P.S. Can you post a pic of the bottom of your charging case with the details of the codes, eg. model number etc.
