Yep - I know that.
However, an assessment is made by the law firms as to chances of success in all cases. And yes, if they win and have stumped up the costs then they tend not to leave too much on the table.
Also, many class actions are funded by third party financiers (e.g. IMF Bentham) so they expect more than the going interest rate to fund risky ventures like class actions - so there is their slice to be considered.
Anyway, enough from me on class actions. Fact is, in most cases it is a fantasy. However, each to his own.
If, I were a holder, I would set a tight stop loss and then wait and see if there's another 'dead cat bounce' and then reassess my options. That's what I would do and what I would do does not constitute advice.
