I clearly recall giving serious thought to exiting SGH completely after hearing the 2015 Annual result presentation. I posted about that thought a few times (well after the event).
A sixth sense was telling me something was not right between Mr Grech and Mr Brown. One could almost feel the tension. Tension between executives is usually a bad sign. It is not the tension itself - differing opinions in a healthy climate are good for business - it is the climate that surrounds that tension.
Foolishly, I didn't follow my sense of foreboding and dismissed it. Not long after Mr Brown was gone and a short while after guidance was withdrawn.
Moral of that story, instinct is a powerful force. If something smells fishy it usually is, follow one's gut feeling, it is more often right than wrong provided have an open and rational mind to start with.
