I'm not sure which State you're in persistentone but in NSW cdc purchases existing bus companies with existing "runs" - esp. the big payer, school runs - All bus services here are subsidised, they've purchased "Westbus" which is one of the largest, another in the Hunter Valley and at least one in Melbourne - the last Annual Report might give you a better and more informed report than I can - in relation to the ACCC there was a preliminary hearing scheduled for 21 July but I can't find any reporting of it yet, from memory I think the case was due to start October and go for two weeks, not sure where I read that - sorry I can't help more.
