Researching the WA vanadium stories.
Does AVL intend to use the same type of salt roasting technology that Atlantic Limited used at the Windumurra vanadium mine?
How similar is the metallurgy of the AVL ores to Windumurra, given those 2 deposits on Google Earth look like they are roughly located in the same vicinity of WA?
Would a new project using salt roasting processes have any environmental issues that may slow down approvals and development of a new mine?
Engineers and banks must have believed that salt roasting was a goer up there 10 years ago, but after Atlantic’s ugly financial collapse, do we think banks and institutions would ever back a similar technology, in a similar location again?
Very little detail was given about why the Atlantic project collapsed other than it seems to have run out of money because of grade control issues and below specification recoveries.
Can anyone shed any further light on this?
